Chapter 2 :
Pemulwuy of the Eora
Pemulwuy was an Aboriginal man that resisted the British invasion
Pemulwuy speared and killed the governor's gamekeeper
Pemulwuy organised and led raids on British farms around the Parramatta
The British responded with revenge attacks on the Eora people
Pemulwuy was wounded and captured in 1797 but escaped
In 1802 Pemulwuy was shot dead and his head was sent to London
Chapter 3 :
The Myall Creek massacre
28 Aboriginal people were murdered at Myall Creek in 1838
12 settlers were responsible for rounding up and killing Aboriginal people
11 of the settlers responsible for the killings were put on trial
7 of the men were found guilty of murder and sentenced to death
There was uproar among the British settlers
The hangings did not stop further massacres from taking place
